         MISSION / PROGRAMS / SERVICES:

             •  The City of Watauga Municipal Court serves as the administrative arm of the City as an
                 unbiased entity for the adjudication of cases filed
             •  It is our goal to serve the citizens who appear in Court with a courteous and assuring attitude.
             •  The Court will process complaints in an accurate and timely manner, courteously responding to
                 requests for information from the public, efficiently docket cases for adjudication, and
                 responsibly collect assessed fines and fees

         FY2021-2022 HIGHLIGHTS / ACHIEVEMENTS:

             •  Court dockets transitioned from virtual to in person in March 2022
             •  Reviewed and updated Judicial and Prosecutor standing orders to allow improve efficiencies in
                 court operations.
             •  With assistance from MVBA collections conducted a warrant resolution campaign targeting
                 older Alias and Capias Pro Fine warrants











         FY2022-2023 GOALS/ OBJECTIVES:

             •  Transition from Laserfiche to Tyler Content Manager to reduce staff time required to digitally file
                 court documents.
             •  Implement Snap Engage chat bot and live chat for the Municipal Court website to create an
                 additional avenue to provide customer service.
             •  Implement an online filing portal for Attorneys to file documents with the Court.



         MAJOR BUDGETARY ISSUES AND OPERATIONAL TRENDS:

             •  The return to in person court hearings was difficult due to the loss of the Deputy Marshal
                 position due to the pandemic.
