Goal 1: Continue to Cultivate the Commercial and Residential Development Plan for a successful Economic
Development Environment
Strategic Goals Outcome:
Revitalize Major Corridors within City Creation and approval of TIRZ 2 Zone along HWY 377 and Belknap areas
820 Exchange at Northern Cross 72 acre business park construction completed and Certificate of Occupancies
issued
3951 Old Denton Road Building Permits have been issued and vertical construction is under way
New Shopping Center/Grocery Store Currently being negotiated on major corridor
Journey Dome Indoor Theatre Located in new facility on Hwy 377 with construction almost complete
The Stream Luxury Apartments A 3‐Phase project underway for approximately 1100 units across the street from
High Pointe Subdivision on Haltom Road has been delayed due to market
conditions
Our Country Homes 412 homes across the street from the library are currently being constructed
Hoffbrau Steakhouse Will be located at the corner of Northern Cross and Old Denton Rd should
complete construction within the next 24 months
Cowtown Brewing Co Will be located at the corner of Northern Cross and Old Denton Rd should
complete construction within the next 24 months
Alexis Event Center Located at 4211 Glenview has been completed and final Certificate of
Occupancy issued
Stream Realty Industrial Park The 6101 Midway industrial park has been completed and currently leasing
Convenient Store & Taco Restaurant The development at Denton Highway and Diamond Oaks South is completed
and open
Holiday Inn Hotel The hotel project on the 820 Corridor has just been issued building permits to
proceed
Marriott Hotels The two hotels in the 820 Corridor will now include 3 hotels and still include
retail/restaurant pads. Construction should begin in 2023.
Rocky's Live New bar/restaurant is now open on Broadway
Multi‐Family Development Approval process is underway for 4600 Fossil Ridge Circle a new quality new
development and is currently being constructed
Scannell Properties Large warehouse distribution center on Hwy 377 is currently under construction
Goal 2: Maintain Competitive Employee Compensation to Retain and Attract High Quality Staff while
maintaining a Relationships‐Driven Culture

Salary Increases
Budgeted a 10% salary increase for all employees in the 2022‐2023 Budget Year
Additional Paid Holidays
Added 5 additional paid holidays for employees going from 12 to 15 days
Work Schedules Increased on‐call pay and considering compressed 4‐day work week (flexible
schedules)
Maintain insurance coverage Maintained coverage with no additional out‐of‐pocket costs to employees'
