Expenditures by Fund

Being the most personnel-heavy department in the City, the Colleyville Police Department carries the largest operating
budget of any single department, not counting the Utilities Fund. Approximately 30% of this budget is currently funded out
of the Crime Control and Prevention District (CCPD), which was rst authorized by voters in 1999 to levy a half-cent sales tax
to support public safety. The CCPD fund was initially reserved for no-recurring expenses such as capital items, vehicles, and
equipment, but has since been transformed into an operating fund, housing 3 part-time civilian employees and19 full-time
uniformed of cers, including 6 newly funded School Resource Of cers. The remaining department budget can be found in
             the General Fund.
