Preparation of any budget requires the allocation of nite resources. Staff’s role is to guide the process by creating and
managing a budget that re ects the City Council’s and the community’s highest priorities. Development of the scal
year 2022 budget was guided by the priorities outlined in the City of Colleyville’s Strategic Plan. Additionally, Colleyville
elected of cials hold a work session each June to reaf rm or modify these goals. Every new effort and element of the
City’s budget, including existing programs, is tied to one or more of these goals, strategies, and objectives.
In addition to af rming the City's overall strategic plan, Council further identi ed 10 high priority objectives for the
upcoming 2023 scal year:
