operating costs via the base rate. The $16,000,000 Water Revenue
volumetric rate is set to simply pass $14,000,000 Base Rate
through the charges the City incurs from Volumetric Rate
the Trinity River Authority (TRA) for treated $12,000,000
water. As is evident from the $10,000,000
accompanying charts, the majority of $8,000,000
water revenue comes from the volumetric $6,000,000
rate and is expected to continue to increase $4,000,000
in accordance with projections provided by

WASTEWATER SALES
Through FY 2018, the City budgeted and Wastewater Revenue
accounted for revenue from wastewater 4,900,000
sales in a single account, which included 4,200,000
revenue from both wastewater base rates
and wastewater volumetric rates. 3,500,000
Beginning in FY 2019, the revenue from 2,800,000
wastewater base rates and wastewater 2,100,000
volumetric rates is budgeted and tracked
separately. This is intended to provide 1,400,000
greater transparency, as the City recovers 700,000
all operating costs via the base rate. The 0
volumetric rate is set to simply pass FY 2012 FY 2013 FY 2014 FY 2015 FY 2016 FY 2017 FY 2018
through the charges the City incurs from
the Trinity River Authority (TRA) for treated
water. As is evident from the Wastewater Revenue
accompanying charts, the majority of $5,000,000
wastewater revenue comes from the $4,500,000 Base Rate
volumetric rate and is expected to continue $4,000,000 Volumetric Rate
to increase in accordance with projections $3,500,000
