According to Texas Municipal League’s 2020 Water Survey, the average cost of water usage of 5,000
gallons in all Texas cities that responded is $41.28, a 3.82% increase over the 2019 average of $39.76.
Saginaw’s cost for 5,000 gallons of water usage is $28.27. The average cost for cities with similar
population (20,001-25,000) is $36.20.

The average cost of wastewater service for residential usage of 5,000 gallons in all Texas cities that
responded is $35.19, a 14.73% increase over last year’s average of $30.67. Saginaw’s cost for 5,000
gallons of wastewater service is $25.55. The average cost for cities with similar population is $40.50.
