CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Major Equipment

 In 2020/2021, the City will be replacing a truck & jetter, which is a drain clearing machine that is
used to clear obstructions from the city’s sewer lines. Based on the age and constant
maintenance needs for the current equipment, staff anticipate that replacement of this vehicle and
equipment will have a positive impact on the overall maintenance costs for the operation.

 An automated book sorting system will be purchased by the City for the city’s library system in
2020/2021. This purchase will greatly improve the efficiency and safety of the check-in and
sorting process of returned library books from patrons for Library staff.
