Information Technology
Who we are
The Information Technology Department provides cost-effective support for computer, security, audio/visual, voice, video,
and web based applications and services to all City employees and citizens. The department strives to develop, enhance,
and manage the City's enterprise network to provide high speed and dependable connectivity. The department also
promotes supporting new technology and assisting employees to mitigate new innovative applications. Thereby, providing
leadership for effective strategic planning in the use of technology.
What do we do
1 Increase security for the City's network. 5 Continued support for door access & camera systems.
2 Increase user application reliability & functionality. 6 Support all desktop/laptop applications & hardware.
3 Implement an Enterprise Resource Planning system. 7 Reasonable response to user problems & requests.
4 Support for all Public Safety employees & applications.

FY 2019-20 Top Accomplishments
Began implementation of Enterprise Resource Planning project replacing the City's current financial system
(Superion).
Implemented network intrusion tests to improve network security against cyber-intrusions.
Began extensive education program for employees to increase their awareness for phishing emails and
limiting their exposure to providing network credentials and financial information to unscrupulous cyber
criminals.
Improved methods for employees to telecommute and work remotely.
Improved and began replacement of the software for the door access system.
