Who we are

Public Works delivers essential services to the citizens of North Richland Hills in a prompt, courteous, safe, efficient,
and cost‐effective manner. Through its dedicated employees, Public Works strives to plan, design, build, maintain, and
operate public infrastructure in a manner that provides our residents with the best quality, responsive, and
dependable service on a daily basis.

FY 2019-20 Top Accomplishments

 Completed Pavement Assessment Project and utilized the data provided to develop a multi‐year preventive street
maintenance project plan.

 Successfully completed the 10‐year Sanitary Sewer Overflow Initiative (SSOI) program through the TCEQ, reducing
SSOs by 75% over the program duration.

 Completed two major roadway projects (Davis / Mid‐Cities & Rufe Snow Drive).

 Applied for and received additional grant funding for the Davis / Mid‐Cities intersection project.
