Impact on Operating Budget:
Project descriptions also include information relating to any anticipated operating
costs associated with the capital project, however, most capital projects do not
require any new operating costs as they are primarily improvement to or
replacement of already existing infrastructure. Additionally, Colleyville has very few
developable parcels of land and is close to build out. As is the nature of cities in
that position, most major capital improvements don't involve building new
infrastrucure, but rather replacing existing infrastructure for which operations and
maintenance funding already exists within the operating budget.
