Project Description
This is the 44th Year Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Project. The project will consist of reconstructing the entire
length (480 linear feet) of Schiller Drive.

Project Justification
The condition rating of Schiller Drive is "70". The length of the project is 480 linear feet between Gentling Place and Abby Road. The
existing 30' wide asphalt road, including curb and gutter, will be removed and replaced with 6" stabilized subgrade and 6" of
pavement. The project will include the installation of sidewalks as well.
Note: The Federal / State Grant Funds shown in the "Sources of Funds" are CDBG entitlement funds, which are administered
entirely by Tarrant County. This includes design, ultimate contractor selection, construction management and contract close-out
activities. As with all previous CDBG projects, the City will have to provide construction inspection services. No CDBG funds are
administered by the City; all funds remain with Tarrant County.

The current estimate for the reconstruction of Schiller Drive is approximately $285,000. The City’s share is estimated at $35,000 with
the balance coming from CDBG funds. The project will be managed and paid for directly by Tarrant County with the City being
responsible for submitting our share directly to the county.
FY 17-18 Revised Funding comes from a General Fund transfer (fund 001).
