SPECIAL PROJECTS CAPITAL FUND
The Special Projects Fund was created as a funding source for relatively expensive and non-recurring capital
projects and capital equipment not included in the maintenance and operations budget of City departments.
Funding is provided by transfers primarily from the annual General Fund savings. All expenditures from this fund
must be authorized by the City Manager or the Hurst City Council. The Special Projects Fund allows for pay-as-
you-go purchases to minimize the level of tax-supported debt.
