Department: Public Works Division: Administration
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
The Stormwater Administration Division is responsible for providing adequate collection and transportation of stormwater with the least
amount of damage to real or personal property. This is accomplished by maintaining the drainage channels and the stormwater
collection system through debris removal and erosion control throughout the City. The Division is also pro-active in the treatment of
standing water to combat mosquitoes and rodent control in the drainage channels and at City facilities. Division staff members oversee
the multiple outreach programs offered to residents and visitors of the City.
FY 2018-2019 HIGHLIGHTS
∗ Completed repairs that were reported on the Texas Department of Transportation bi-annual bridge report.
∗ Reshaped the creek channel along Woodmont Court, from Wayne Drive to Michael Sean Drive, and placed rap on the channel banks
to prevent future erosion.
∗ Repaired damaged asphalt, removed the existing guardrail and installed a Type III barricade at the dead end of Michael Sean Drive.
