                       FUTURE INITIATIVES


                         •   Complete construction of 44th Year CDBG Grant Project / Sheri Lane from Reed
                          to Cavender (water and sewer portion).
                         •   Coordinate with Trinity River Authority on Walker-Calloway Wastewater Outfall
                          System Rehabilitation Project, completing Phase 1 construction and Phase 2
                          design.
                         •   Coordinate with Trinity River Authority on Walker-Calloway Wastewater Outfall
                          System Rehabilitation Project, beginning Phase 2 construction.
                         •   Complete construction of Valley View Branch Sanitary Sewer Interceptor
                          Replacement / SH10 to West Redbud Dr.
                         •   Design Pipeline Road Phase 4 (water and sanitary sewer portion).
                         •   Design and construct 29th Year Water Main Replacements.
                         •   Design and construct 29th Year Sanitary Sewer Replacements.

                       Goals:
                         •   Periodically report on progress of capital projects.
                         •   Continue to rate, prioritize, and review capital improvements and facilities
                          projects.
                         •    Identify and implement funding to aggressively maintain and improve the
                          City’s infrastructure

                       Objectives:
                         •   Improve contracting procedures for construction projects to provide improved
                          delivery methods for the public. *
                         •  Reduce risk to the City regarding construction projects where possible and
                          appropriate. *
                         •  Continue annual water and wastewater replacement projects when budget
                          allows. *
                         •   Continue with Community Development Block Grant Program to include
                          replacement of water and wastewater lines. *
