Goals:
• Conduct a systematic review of all HR procedures, processes, and practices for
the purpose of total alignment with vision, mission, and values.
• Prioritize and complete HR duties and projects through committed staff time
and resources.
• Empower the HR team to make good decisions for customers using external
and internal resources.
• Commit to HR strategy implementation.
Objectives:
• Evaluate and prioritize policies for revision, elimination, or replacement in
support of HR and city leadership goals, and City Council priorities. *
• Make policy changes and inform organization. †
• Roll out New Employee Orientation. †
• Complete first Supervisor Workshop Series on Sourcing, Recruitment,
Screening, Selection, and Onboarding. †
• Continue to cross-train HR functions to ensure smooth and timely delivery of
services, specifically leaves of absence administration, worker’s compensation,
and employee relations functions. ‡
• Coordinate and complete annual HR projects: City Budget preparation, Open
Enrollment, Benefits Strategy Review, Compensation analytics ‡
• Identify, schedule, and develop content for supervisor development
opportunities for 2019. ‡
