Council’s Long-Term Strategic Goals
• Continue to build and maintain an empowered and loyal workforce.
• While being fiscally responsible, provide services to meet the needs of our growing
community.
• Develop a comprehensive plan for addressing the growing transportation needs of
Haltom City.
• Lead the city to build new municipal facilities that meet the public safety and
administrative needs.
• Maximize the economic benefits of the 820 Corridor.
• Engage our community in order to develop a collective vision for the future of our
city.
Council’s Policy on Strategic Planning
Staff is to take a proactive approach to long-term strategic planning that is consistent with
the Council’s Vision and short- and long-term strategic goals

To manage all revenue and expenditures for the greatest value for the community as a
whole and to openly communicate financial policy and results to citizens and businesses.
