TABLE OF CONTENTS
FY 2027 HIGHLIGHTS
Infrastructure Maintenance Funding: $2,000,000 will be transferred from the SIF to the Facility
Maintenance Fund. The purpose of this fund is to build capacity for future maintenance projects as we
will have many needs to address as our facilities age.
Community Enhancement Funding: This category of funding is set aside to provide pay-as-you-go
funding for initiatives which will enhance the quality of life or aesthetics of Southlake. Additionally, this
category of funding may be used to enhance the City’s ability to provide more convenient customer
service experiences for our customers. This year’s budget includes expenditures of $425,000 in this
category, supporting comprehensive plan implementation including a citywide update of the City’s rain-
on-mesh hydraulic storm water model, which dates to 2019 and will for the first time include the closed
pipe system in the modeling.
Capital Acquisition Funding: For this fiscal year, $2,000,000 will be transferred to the new Public Safety
Strategic Initiative Fund
Equipment Replacement Fund, $2,500,000 to the Capital Improvements Program for the purpose of
building and replacing infrastructure. This year’s budget includes additional expenditures of $100,000
in this category for three liquid brine sprayers, a brine mixing system, and bulk storage. The equipment
enhances the City’s existing brine operation, moving from small-scale manual batching to automated,
higher-volume mixing with greater storage capacity, so crews can pre-treat more routes ahead of a
weather event rather than being limited by how much material can be produced at one time.
Technology: $1,000,000 will be transferred from the SIF to the IT Infrastructure & Security Fund to
cover technology infrastructure expenses.
