CURRENT FINANCIAL POSITION


        The City Staff estimates that the City of Benbrook begins the 2025-26 fiscal year with an estimated combined fund
        balance of $24,135,484 in the operating funds (General Fund and Debt Service Fund) and is projected to end the

        year with a balance of $24,140,970.

        The General Fund is estimated to begin the 2025-26 fiscal year with a fund balance of $23,747,951 and to end the
        year with a fund balance of $23,747,951. The transfer of $600,000 from General Fund reserves is included in the
        year-ending balance.  This consists of $550,000 from the General Fund to the Capital Asset Replacement Fund and
        $50,000 to the IT/Facilities Fund.

        The Debt Service Fund is estimated to begin the 2025-26 fiscal year with a fund balance of $387,533 and to end the

        year with a fund balance of $393,019; an estimated $5,486 will be added to the Debt Service Fund reserves in 2025-
        26.  The transfer of $74,444 is scheduled from the Stormwater Utility Fund for drainage-related debt costs.

        Several of the Departments in each governmental function are sub-divided into two or more department/divisions.
        The Table of Contents lists the departments and the associated divisions.  The City of Benbrook organizational chart

        at the beginning of the document on page 11 and the functional-level organizational charts at the beginning of each
        function provide more information on the tasks performed in the various department and division areas.
