AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AN AMENDMENT TO ,THE ADOPTED ANNUAL BUDGET OF THE
CITY OF BEDFORD, TEXAS FOR THE FISCAL PERIOD OF OCTOBER 1, 2024 THROUGH
SEPTEMBER 30, 2025; PROVIDING FOR THE EXPENDING OF FUNDS FROM THE CITY OF
BEDFORD DRUG ENFORCEMENT FUND IN THE AMOUNT OF $ 18,000 IN ACCORDANCE WITH
59.
CHAPTER 06 OF THE TEXAS CODE OF CRIMINAL PROCEDURE; AND DECLARING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
3417 setting forth the Budget for Fiscal
WHEREAS, the City Council adopted Ordinance No. 2024-
Year 2025, beginning October 1, 2024 and ending September 30, 2025; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council finds and determines that revenues and/or reserves are available for
supplemental appropriation, and/or that the transfer of certain funds interdepartmentally is
economically feasible and in the best interest of prudent budgeting and for municipal purposes;
and,
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to amend said Fiscal Year 2024-2025 Annual Operating Budget
and/
to reflect such supplemental appropriation or transfer as described in the documents attached
hereto; and,
WHEREAS, the expenditure totaling $ 18,000 is for a training session focused on police leadership
and organizational culture; and,

WHEREAS, the training is facilitated by Mac Tristan, Culture Strategist, Lecturer and 2023 inductee
into the Greenleaf Center for Servant Leadership HaII of Fame; and,

WHEREAS, the expending of forfeited and awarded funds is in accordance with Chapter 59.06 of
the Code of Criminal Procedure.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEDFORD, TEXAS,
THAT:
SECTION 1. The findings above are found to be true and correct and are incorporated herein.

SECTION 2. The Annual Budget for the City of Bedford, Texas, for the fiscal period of October 1,
2024, through September 30, 2025, in words and figures contained therein, is hereby
amended for municipal purposes as shown on " Budget Amendment # 1," attached
hereto.

SECTION 3. Budget Amendment # 1 shall be attached to the Fiscal Year 2024- Annual
Operating Budget and maintained in the records of the City.
SECTION 4. The City Council of Bedford, Texas authorizes the expending of funds from the City
of Bedford Police Drug Enforcement fund in the amount of $ 18,000 in accordance
