Facilities Maintenance Manager
Facilities Maintenance is responsible for the management of building operations and maintenance activities in order to
maintain and improve the City's infrastructure. Facilities Maintenance provides general maintenance, custodial services,
heating and air conditioning (HVAC) control, security and re system monitoring, and outstanding customer service to 14
facilities spread throughout Bedford. Staff also coordinates annual elevator inspections, window cleaning, pest control,
carpet cleaning, oor maintenance, boiler inspections, re alarm system inspections, re extinguisher inspections, and re
sprinkler system inspections.
FY 2022-2023 Highlights
Installed ADA door openers at 6 City facilities.
Began the remodel of Public Works building by painting the facility and replacing the rst oor ceiling.
Installed UV air scrubbers in HVAC units at Fire Station 2.
Installed ballistic glass at court clerk's ticket window.
Repaired foundation leak coming from the chiller at building A.
Replaced bay heater at PD, Animal Control and Park Service Center.
Replaced counter tops in the kitchen at Fire Station 2.
Repaired several busted pipes at Animal Control and Public Works caused by the winter storm
