CURRENT FINANCIAL POSITION
The City Staff estimates that the City of Benbrook begins the 2021-22 fiscal year with an estimated combined fund
balance of $11,893,798 in the operating funds (General Fund and Debt Service Fund) and is projected to end the
year with a balance of $11,909,941.
The General Fund is estimated to begin the 2021-22 fiscal year with a fund balance of $11,437,039 and to end the
year with a fund balance of $11,438,026. The transfer of $300,000 from General Fund reserves is included in the
year-ending balance. The transfer of $300,000 is scheduled from the General Fund to the Capital Asset
Replacement Fund for purchase of a Dump Truck.
The Debt Service Fund is estimated to begin the 2021-22 fiscal year with a fund balance of $456,758 and to end the
year with a fund balance of $471,915; an estimated $15,157 will be added to the Debt Service Fund reserves in
2021-22. The transfer of $742,415 is scheduled from the Stormwater Utility Fund for drainage-related debt costs
and $297,586 from the TIF Fund for related debt.

at the beginning of the document on page 13 and the functional-level organizational charts at the beginning of each
function provide more information on the tasks performed in the various department and division areas.
