As the primary operating fund of the City, the General Fund is used to account for resources associated with core government
services. These services include Police, Fire, Code Compliance, Park Operations that are not self-supporting, Libraries,
Public Works, and other traditional government activities. Property taxes, sales taxes and franchise fees are the primary
revenue sources for the General Fund.
