MISSION / PROGRAMS / SERVICES:

x Perform maintenance on concrete and earthen channels, as well as, the maintenance of ditches
in the City owned right of ways to keep City in compliance with Storm Water Permit
x Clean and maintain curb and gutters, storm drain inlets, junction boxes and underground storm
system boxes
x Coordinate new sidewalk installation and repair
x Storm Drain Utility Division of Public Works is responsible for street sweeping
x Place and retrieve mosquito traps for West Nile and Zika virus testing in coordination with
Tarrant County Health Department

FY2019-2020 HIGHLIGHTS / ACHIEVEMENTS:

x Swept all City streets periodically
x Maintained channels
x Placed and retrieved mosquito traps for West Nile virus testing in coordination with Tarrant
County Health Department
x Repaired or replaced approximately 4,196 linear feet of sidewalk and seven wheelchair ramps

FY2020-2021 GOALS/ OBJECTIVES:

x Sweep all City streets on an alternating monthly schedule
x Maintain channels
x Continue repair necessary sidewalk as identified
x Place and retrieve mosquito traps for West Nile and Zika virus testing in coordination with
