CITY OF HALTOM CITY aNNUAL BUDGET, FY2021 CAPITAL PROJECT FUNDS

Capital Improvement Fund (32)

The Capital Projects Fund accounts for projects financed with resources from governmental funds and
tax-supported debt. For FY2021 projects, expenditures and transfers totaling $6,702,000 were approved.
Major projects for FY2021 are listed below:

Fire Station #3 $ 6,100,000
Broadway Park $ 550,000
Buffalo Ridge Park $ 52,000

Capital Replacement Fund (35)
This fund is used for accumulating resources for replacement of vehicles and equipment.
Funding is from transfers from other funds. For FY2021, a transfer of $850,000 from General Fund will cover
payments on existing vehicles. No new vehicles were added to the FY2021 budget due to the conservative
spending and not adding new decision packages for the General Fund. The City will fall slightly behind the
vehicle replacement schedule but will add slowly as the budget allows.

Water & Sewer Utility Projects Fund (42) and Impact Fees Fund (44)
This fund is to account for water and sewer capital projects. The source of funds is the Water and Sewer
Fund and the proceeds of debt backed by the net revenues of the Water and Sewer Fund. Total budget of
$7,397,633 is approved for FY2021. Major projects approved for FY2021 include:

McCullar (Carson to Weaver) $ 590,000
Meachum $ 400,000
Ray Drive and Ray Court $ 570,000
