In the summer of 2020, the City Council held their annual priority setting
worksession, at which seven high priority objectives were established, as well as
continuing to focus on zoning, economic development, and financial strategies:

SH26 Corridor Enhancements complete by
October 1, 2021

Glade Phase II construction to begin October
2020 following utility relocation completion

Determine strategy/priorities for funding
Drainage Master Plan project implementation

Formulate a masterplan for the Northern
Gateway and develop a marketing plan for
public/private development

Finalize design and bid the Senior Center
renovation

Develop and implement a policy for adjusting
the Utility CIP base rate

Sidewalk/Trail plan implementation and
communication

Preparation of any budget requires the allocation of finite resources. Staff’s role is to
guide the process by creating and managing a budget that reflects the City Council’s
and the community’s highest priorities. Development of the fiscal year 2021 budget
