GOAL: To support, promote, enhance, and diversify the local economy through business recruitment, retention, and
information-sharing. To increase commercial product, workforce capacity, tax revenues, and business offerings for
consumer use in Saginaw.

Completion of Made in Saginaw video and award from IEDC
Approval of first mixed-use development in Saginaw, 'The Square' with retail/restaurant/multifamily/office
Updated aerial map, added Community Profile, and put dynamic flipbook of info on website
Conduct and report first retail and restaurant public preference survey
Continued movement on Cranz Farm property with land plan, Council feedback meetings, and assigned Master Developer for project
Completed first annual Department of ED Strategic Action Plan
Assisted in movement on Bell Helicopter redevelopment site by meeting with broker, investors, potential tenants, TX Historical Comm. etc.
Contracted with David Petit for TIRZ Feasibility Study and report
Hosted first West Tarrant Alliance Meeting in Saginaw
Kicked-off marketing for Building Improvement Program - reviewed 10 applications - approved 8 - completed 6
Began Broker Breakfast Program and outreach
Continued support for Lavonne White's property - located development group, have concept plan, work on LOIs, now under contract, etc.
Assisted with Miller Milling grand opening event of new mill

Awarded EMS ISD CTE Community Partnership award
Presented at EMS ISD Realtor Symposium
Met with 26 of the TOP 20/20 retailer and restaurants from the public survey report at ICSC
Worked with UDC on SW corner of 156 and Bailey Boswell on mixed-use development and approvals
Conducted in-depth Council one-on-one meetings to determine SWOT scope for future ED goals
Engaged Community Link as future contracted administrator for the Saginaw Farmers Market
Conducted public vote for retention window decal logo
LONG TERM OBJECTIVES
Acquire additional sit-down and fast-casual restaurants within the City.
Ensure the retention and expansion of industrial development which helps balance the tax base.
Administer and maintain existing economic development incentives in the manner authorized by State Law.
Act as public liaison for all commercial sites in the City in an effort to assist in appropriate development.
Establish and enact a Business Retention & Expansion program.
