I would like to commend the City staff for their ingenuity, diligence and discipline in
developing budgets that were responsible and responsive to the demands for services they
see. The staff continually receives “requests” to provide new or additional services to our
citizens. Frequently the citizen cannot understand why “with all of the tax money” we cannot
provide the service to their standards. Our staff is caught in the middle of this yet our
available resources require that if we want to do something new we have to do less of
something we are already doing. Still, they submitted budgets that could be funded within
our available resources and I am personally grateful for their service.
