lots, signs, and façade updates.
Bedford is also investing $70 million for the next phase of construction at Bedford Boys
Ranch Park. City leadership envisions the final product to be a world-class facility with
amenities that will be multi-generational, multi-purpose, and multi-seasonal. This vision
will meet the needs of residents and visitors of all ages, interests, and capabilities for years
to come.
With room to grow, and opportunities available, Bedford proudly offers an efficient “one
stop shop” to developers that desire to discuss their perfect site in Bedford.
City Council Goals
On May 8, 2018, the Bedford City Council adopted a Strategic Plan to establish their goals
and priorities. This was the result of a collaborative process with the City Council and staff
over the course of multiple months that worked to define the Council’s vision for the City
and strategic focus areas to accomplish that vision. The mission was unchanged as part of
this process.

Strategic Focus Areas
• Area 1 – Revitalization
Revitalized storefronts, streets, and neighborhoods attract future residents and
businesses to the community. Thriving commercial centers enhance Bedford’s
image and should be reflective of the City’s collective social and economic
aspirations. Attracting unique businesses will demonstrate how Bedford is distinct
from other communities.
o Strategic Initiatives
Promote underutilized property, transforming key commercial
nodes into unique destinations.
Develop a neighborhood reinvestment strategy.
