NEIGHBORHOOD SERVICES GOALS AND OBJECTIVES FY 2018 – 2019

Animal Services (21)

Continue to provide quality service provision that has been recognized region – wide:

 Provide rapid and humane rapid capture of loose animals to protect the public and the animals
involved
 Provide rapid response and care to reports of injured animals
 Provide rapid response and investigation to reports of animal bites in the city
 Operate a clean and sanitary shelter while meeting the welfare of animals in the shelter
 Continue community outreach and education
 Operate shelter hours to best meet the needs of the public

Streets (16)

Maintain the safety of city streets for the driving public:

 Repair street damage (pot holes, damaged curbs, etc.)
 Maintain traffic controls to maintain safe traffic flow
 Preventative maintenance to prevent/slow street degradation
 Maintain ROW in safe condition
 Assist Parks Department with park maintenance

Water Production (66)

Maintain quick response and proactive maintenance to maintain quality customer service deliver:

 Rapid response/repair to leaks
 Preventative maintenance to maintain system
 Rapid repair of system failures
 Operate sanitation systems and testing to insure safe drinking water for the public
 Vector capture, testing, and control procedures

Waste Water (67)

Maintain quick response and proactive maintenance to maintain quality customer service delivery:

 Rapid response to flow interruptions
 Preventative maintenance to maintain system
 Rapid repair of system failures
 Meet the requirements of the SSOI program stipulated by TCEQ
