$1.3719 for an (19.87%) increase. BOD charges (per pound) decreased from $0.4241
to $0.4160, which translates to a -1.91% decrease. TSS charges (per pound) increased
from $0.2300 to $0.2736 for a (18.97%) increase. Overall, Fort Worth’s Wastewater rates
represent a (12.06%) increase. TRA rates, which are also factored into wastewater costs
shown in the graph below represent around a 10% increase. The graph illustrates the
changes in wastewater treatment costs from fiscal year 2010 through fiscal year 2018. It
is important to note that the TRA is replacing a wastewater main that services the City
of Hurst. The city has been asked to share in the cost of the $7.9 million project. For fiscal
year 2019, the city budgeted $315,206 for Engineering and Construction.
