Community Services at a Glance
The Community Services Department is dedicated to fostering an engaged, healthy, and connected
community through recreation, social programs, and public engagement initiatives. The department
oversees parks, facilities, and community programs that serve residents of all ages and backgrounds
while partnering with local organizations to expand access to essential services. By promoting wellness,
inclusion, and civic participation, the department plays a key role in enhancing the city’s livability and
ensuring equitable access to opportunities that strengthen the social fabric of the community.
The Community Services Department includes Public Grounds, Senior Lifestyles, the Public Library, the
Historical Museum and Man House, Geyer Commons, as well as programming and services in the
Mansfield Park Facilities Development Corporation (see the MPFDC fund).
