Planning & Zoning Commission
The Planning & Zoning Commission provides policy guidance and public oversight on land-use and
development matters to ensure growth aligns with the City’s long-term vision. The Commission reviews
zoning requests, subdivision plats, and development proposals, making informed recommendations to
the City Council that balance economic development with community character and sustainability.
Through its public hearing process and collaboration with planning staff, the Commission fosters
transparency, encourages citizen participation, and promotes responsible planning that supports orderly,
well-managed community growth.
