Municipal Facilities Design and Construction

Introduction

The Municipal Facilities Design and Construction Department manages the planning and delivery of new municipal buildings and
major facility renovations for the City of Grand Prairie. The department oversees the competitive selection of architects, engineers,
and contractors, ensuring projects follow state laws and City standards.

From initial planning through final construction, the department monitors design quality, safety, and cost control to make sure every
