Summary:
To identify efficiencies and cost savings, the Library and Survey Responses
Document Services teams are piloting a merged City-wide 120
courier service, with the potential to significantly improve
service in FY 2026. The Library couriers deliver library 100
materials between libraries to fulfill requests for items from 80
other branches. The well-used service allows a library 60
patron to place holds on library materials to be delivered to
their home branch for pickup. Document Services Records 40
Center Technicians visit a variety of City facilities regularly 20
for mail delivery and records handling.

After research, it was determined that there was overlap 1st Qtr 2nd Qtr 3rd Qtr 4th Qtr
and viable options to reshape the delivery system, still
meeting the City's needs while streamlining the process.
This team project anticipates a reduction in fleet vehicles,
fuel usage, mileage, maximizes routes, and implements a
collaborative approach to this City service.
