INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY:
The Information Technology budget increased from $610,190 to $782,940 or 28%. In addition
to the salary and benefit increases, there is funding for enhanced network security, accelerated
computer replacement, a server replacement, and contractual IT services.
EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT:
The Emergency Management budget increased from $143,715 to $168,605 or 17% due to salary
and benefit increases as well as the addition of a maintenance agreement for the outdoor
warning system sirens.
COMMUNICATIONS:
The Communications budget increased from $198,060 to $241,410 or 22% due to salary and
benefit increases as well as operating costs for the “Saginaw Channel”. One-time expenses
include a satisfaction survey, updating City branding, and quarterly mailing of the Inside Saginaw
Newsletter.
