GENERAL GOVERNMENT AT A GLANCE
Budget Summary
The General Government Department increased 16.99% overall. The City Council’s budget includes new
software and computer supplies. The City Manager’s Office budget increased with the addition of 1 full-
time equivalent (FTE) position. The Culture and Strategic Initiatives Manager position was converted
from part-time to full-time, and a part-time Chief Sustainability Officer was added. Contractual services
also increased. The success of the Internship Program led to a budget increase to expand the program in
FY 2024-2025 to allow for even greater participation. Finally, the City established a budget for the
Mansfield Youth Council. In FY 2023-2024, this began as a “pilot program” under the Internship
Program budget. As a result of its successful implementation, the Mansfield Youth Council has become a
separate program.
