SUBJECT:

Consider approval of a minute order ratifying the adoption of the Fiscal Year 2023-2024 annual
operating budget beginning October 1, 2023, and terminating September 30, 2024. (Staff
Presenter: John Butkus, Assistant Finance Director)

SUMMARY:

On August 9, 2023, the city manager filed the proposed annual budget for Fiscal Year 2023-
2024. On that same day, the city manager delivered a copy of the proposed budget to the city
council. At the August 15, 2023, special city council meeting, the city manager presented the
proposed budget to the council and members of the public.

OPTIONS:

Approve the ordinance, approve the ordinance with modifications, or deny the ordinance

RECOMMENDATION:

Approve the ordinance

PRIOR ACTION/INPUT (Council, Boards, Citizens):

At the August 15, 2023, special city council meeting, the city manager presented the proposed
budget to the council and members of the public.

After a public hearing, the City Council approved the ordinance adopting the annual budget on
first reading on September 5, 2023.
