PURPOSE STATEMENT:
The mission of the Azle Stormwater Division is to effectively manage stormwater runoff while reducing or
preventing pollutants from entering the watershed to the maximum extent practical while maintaining and
enhancing the natural aesthetics of the drainage system.

GOALS AND OBJECTIVES:

Protect life and health
Minimize property losses
Improve the City drainage system
Protect and enhance the environment
Encourage aesthetics
Guide development
Increase awareness of storm water issues throughout the City

KEY POINTS OF PROPOSED BUDGET:
Contractual Services: Increase requested for additional Engineering Services to assist Stormwater Manager
with writing the City's next five-year stormwater plan as required by Federal and State law.
Capital Outlay: Increase requested for the purchase of a street shoulder widener machine with the cost to be
split with the Street Department budget in the General Fund.
Increase for the construction of a cover for material storage bins to be split with the Utility Fund.
