ORDINANCE NO. 2022-20

AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR
OCTOBER 1, 2022 THROUGH SEPTEMBER 30, 2023; PROVIDING FOR THE
FILING OF THE BUDGET; PROVIDING THAT THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BE
CUMULATIVE OF ALL ORDINANCES; PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY
CLAUSE AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE

WHEREAS, the City of Dalworthington Gardens, Texas is a Type A general-law municipality
located in Tarrant County, created in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 6 of the Local
Government Code and operating pursuant to the enabling legislation of the State of Texas: and

WHEREAS, the City Council finds that all provisions pertaining to the adoption of a budget in
state law have been in all things complied with; and

WHEREAS, in accordance with Section I 02.001. et seq. TEX. LOC. GOY-T Code. the the
Council determined that a public hearing should be held at a time and place which was set forth in
notices published as required by law; and

WHEREAS, such public hearing on the budget was duly held on September 15, 2022, and all
taxpayers were given an opportunity to attend and participate in such public hearing; and

WHEREAS, after full and final consideration. the City Council is of the opinion that the budget
should be approved and adopted.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF
DALWORTHINGTON GARDENS, TEXAS, THAT:

SECTION 1. The budget of the revenues of the City of Dalworthington Gardens and the expenses
of conducting the affairs thereof for the ensuing Fiscal Year beginning October I, 2022 and ending
September 30, 2023. as modified by the City Council attached hereto as Exhibit ··A", be, and the
same is, in all things, adopted and approved as the said City of Dalworthington Gardens budget
for the Fiscal Year beginning the first day of October, 2022, and ending the thirtieth day of
September, 2023.

SECTION 2. A true and correct copy of this ordinance along with the approved budget attached
hereto and any amendments thereto shall be filed with the City Secretary.

SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be cumulative of all provisions of ordinances and of the Code
of Ordinances, City of Dalworthington Gardens. Texas, as amended, except where the provisions
are in direct conflict with the provisions of other ordinances, in which event the conflicting
provisions of the other ordinances are hereby repealed.

SECTION 4. It is hereby declared to be the intention of the City Council that the phrases. clauses,
sentences, paragraphs and sections of this ordinance are severable, and if any phrase, clause,
sentence. paragraph or section of this ordinance shall be declared unconstitutional by the valid
