PUBLIC SAFETY POLICE CRIME PREVENTION 01-31-05
DIVISION DESCRIPTION:
The Crime Prevention Officer works to develop community involvement and support in the prevention of crime and criminal disorder. The Crime Prevention
Officer assists in educating the public to protect themselves and their property from criminals.

• Quality of Life: The City of Benbrook endeavors to implement legislation, policies, projects, and services to ensure our community remains a great city, and to
enhance quality of life for current and future generations of residents.

DIVISION GOALS:
• To organize the citizens of Benbrook in the fight to reduce crime.
• To achieve 100% participation in the City-Wide Crime Prevention Program.
• To provide information and services which will assist the residents in making Benbrook a safer place to live.
DIVISION OBJECTIVES:
• -To monitor expenditures and remain within + or - 5% of the Activity's budget allocation.
• -To maintain a good working relationship with the Block Captains.
• -To assist Block Captains in their efforts to keep neighbors informed of criminal activities taking place in their neighborhoods.
• -To maintain a minimum of 30 public appearances and make presentations on various crime prevention topics and subjects.
• -To maintain active Crime Prevention Programs.
