RESOLUTION NO. 2020- 043

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATAUGA, TEXAS TO ACCEPT THE 2020 TARRANT
APPRAISAL DISTRICT CERTIFIED APPRAISAL ROLL
PROVIDING FOR REPEAL; PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

WHEREAS, Section 26.04(b) of the Texas Property Tax Code, provides that the
tax assessor for each taxing unit shall submit the unit' s tax appraisal roll to the
government body; and

WHEREAS, the Tarrant Appraisal District has provided the City of Watauga with
a Certified Appraisal Roll for the tax year 2020; and

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Watauga desires to accept the 2020
Tarrant Appraisal District Certified Appraisal Roll pursuant to Section 26. 04( b) of the
Texas Property Tax Code;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WATAUGA, TEXAS that:

I.

The facts and recitations set forth in the preamble of this Resolution are hereby
found to be true and correct and adopted herein for all purposes.

II.

The 2020 Certified Appraisal Roll for the City of Watauga as provided and
certified by the Tarrant Appraisal District, is hereby accepted by the City Council of the
City of Watauga.

III.

This Resolution shall be and is hereby cumulative of all other resolutions of the
City of Watauga, Texas and this resolution shall not operate to repeal or affect any such
other resolutions except insofar as the provisions thereof might be inconsistent or in
conflict with the provisions of this resolution, in which event such conflicting provisions,
if any, in such other resolution or resolutions are hereby repealed.
