April 30 1 Estimate of 2019 taxable values received from Tarrant Appraisal District (TAD).
May 6 Distribute budget instructions and worksheets to Department Heads.

May 14 2 Estimate of 2019 taxable values received from TAD.
May 15 Prepare preliminary revenue estimates for 2019-2020 budget.
Department Heads submit 2019-2020 budget requests to Finance Director. This includes 5

year plans with staffing and capital planning.
May 29 Budget submitted to City Manager and Assistant City Manager.
Pre-Budget Conferences held between City Manager, Asst. City Manager/Finance Director,
June 5 & 6 Asst. Finance Director/Budget Analyst and Department Heads to discuss budget requests
and five year plans.
June 14 3rd Estimate of 2019 taxable values from TAD.
Receive 2019 certified appraisal roll from TAD and calculate Effective and Rollback Tax
July 25
Rates.
July 30 Final review and decisions on proposed budget. Prepare budget message.
Council Meeting - Present Proposed tax rate. Call for 2 public hearings on proposed tax
August 20
rate increase.
August 22 Publish Notice of Property Tax Rates in newspaper and on website.
