                                                    PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

     The Engineering Division is responsible for the management of the Public Works Department, which includes Streets and Traffic, Water,
     Wastewater, and Stormwater. The Division is also responsible for in-house engineering design, conducting technical review,
     administering the Geographic Information System (GIS), right-of-way permitting reviews, project management and field inspection for
     various private development and Capital Improvement Program (CIP) construction projects within the City. In addition, the Division
     strives to provide a wide range of technical assistance, field support, and utility information as requested by other City departments,
     citizens, engineers, builders, and various interested parties.







                                                   FY 2018-2019 HIGHLIGHTS

       ∗ Plan design for water replacement in the Forest Ridge and Bell Manor Addition, Harwood Road from the Hurst City Limit to Forest
         Ridge Drive and Russell Lane from Phyllis Street to Pipeline Road.
       ∗ Completed project administration and inspection for the 2019 Mill and Overlay, 2019 Cracksealing Program, Bedford Court East
         Reconstruction, Brown Trail Water and Sewer Improvements, 2019 Concrete Replacement Program, 2019 Pavement Markings
         Program, the Nottingham, Gregory and Bedford Court Addition Water System Improvements, and the Automated Meter Reading
         Project.
