DEPARTMENT STORMWATER FUND ACCOUNT

PURPOSE STATEMENT:
The mission of the Azle Stormwater Division is to effectively manage stormwater runoff while reducing or
preventing pollutants from entering the watershed to the maximum extent practical while maintaining and
enhancing the natural aesthetics of the drainage system.

GOALS AND OBJECTIVES:

Protect life and health
Minimize property losses
Improve the City drainage system
Protect and enhance the environment
Encourage aesthetics
Guide development
Increase awareness of storm water issues throughout the City

KEY POINTS OF PROPOSED BUDGET:
Capital Outlay: Funding requested for the purchase of a new mini excavator and 18 foot trailer.
Maintenance: Increase requested for additional street sweeping.
Contractual Services: Increase requested for engineering fees associated with CDBG projects.
